Double check with your doctor's. I am not as I am on fostair 100/6 and montelukast. Just doing what I need then home

I think you are on it because of the Fostair 200 and Montelukast but as Kamilla says check the list to be sure. There is a link on the left side of this page

The dose of Fostair means you should be in the shielding group according to Asthma UK. Not all letters will have got to recipients yet, think they said to give it til Monday. Perhaps phone your GP surgery/AN and ask on Monday if you haven't received one?

I just received text's from my doctor's about what is going on with the government, I was also informed that I am a low risk asthmatic so I am just doing what I need then home again. But I am waiting for confirmation of what is going on with me as I am 100/6 and montelukast taker.

At least you received something from your GP. Mine is being silent. Not even any info on their website. Its all very confusing.

I'm on 100/6 2 puffs twice a day up to 4 puffs twice a day. I usually have 3 twice a day. And I have prednisilone (had more than 2 course in the past 12 months) and usually end up on antibiotics too. And nothing. No contact whatsoever.

Im on fostair 200/6 2 puffs twice a day ,spiriva respirant which contains Tiotropium 2.5mg 2 puffs once a day Montelukast plus theophyllyn which are on the list but not recieved a letter yet.Post in area is a bit hit and miss at the moment so if you think you should be on the list to shield just do it anyway, thats what im doing

Great thank you

According to the Asthma UK -

If being used as part of a MART regime

Fostair pMDI or NEXThaler100/6 one puff twice a day + 1 additional puff when necessary (if using at least 5 puffs each day on average)

OR

Fostair pMDI or NEXThaler200/6 two puffs twice a day

You like me should get the text /letter but I haven't got yet.

They are not coming from GP's but NHS England

I am currently doing as Gov advises (I am an informal carer and need to shop) bit otherwise staying in HOWEVER based on the Asthma UK information I think will get a self isolation letter just haven't yet. Note it does say give till Sunday to see if get a letter and if not by then contact GP.

I fall in between those two: Fostair 100/6 2 puffs twice a day up to 4 twice a day. I usually have 3 twice a day for flexibility. Not heard a thing.

Hi you are taking more than - 100/6 one puff twice a day + 1 additional puff when necessary (if using at least 5 puffs each day on average)

You said you are taking 100/6 two puffs twice a day up to 4 puffs twice and day and you are doing about 2 puffs 3 x a day

I know. I also have prednisilone - not all the time but when I get a chest infection. I have it as a repeat on my prescriptions. I've certainly had more than two courses in the past 12 months. And of course antibiotics. I was strongly advised to have flu jab (I have that anyway religiously) and was advised to get pneumonia jab though GP service didn't bother to organise it.

This isn't taking into account respiratory history either. 2017 a "minor cold" turned into a year long bacterial infection with 3 A&E visits. If there is a cold around, I get it. Every time and it goes straight to my chest. Last one I had was Dec and Jan.

Thanks

Anyone know if NHS Scotland are also contacting patients who need to shield? I’m on Relvar 184/22, montelukast, theophylline and nebulisers. I’m working from home anyway just now as I’m a teacher but would be good to know.

Not sure sorry but definitely sounds like you should be shielding!

They will be, it’s just not as automated as England, but it would sound like you should be shielding.
