Hi all

So I feel like my breathing is restricted again, I always seem to have a tight throat and I do have a lot of mucus in my throat and every day my nose is blocked. Its briving me mad

Could this all effect the asthma? Doctors have said I'm not wheezy and my chest sounds clear and I did have a chest xray and that was ok to.

It's just so frustrating:(

I had a blocked nose for 18 months. I was told to keep using my steroid nasal spray which I did. Like you I was constantly clearing my throat and I could feel it in the back of my throat when I went to bed.

I was put on Montelukast

to because I quite often needed by blue inhaler during the night. But on the first day of taking it my nose cleared! Amazing. Within a couple of hours I could blow my nose, something I had not been able to do for a long, long time. In fact, so long I forget to do it!

See my comment about taking Serrapeptase Enzymes that eat phlegm of the chest & clears nasal cavities but leaves living skin alone

I obtain mine from amazon or Holland & barrettes a shop in Uk, take them before food otherwise it try’s to digest food first before making its way to small intestines

Have you ever tried using menthol vapour rub one tea spoon full in a bowl of hot water but NOT boiling hot, you can inhale the menthol through your nose slowly if your nose is blocked try blowing it first but you can inhale menthol through your mouth this makes its way to bronchial tubes & frees up the phlegm so you can cough it up this can take up to 15 minutes to achieve but after doing this once a day for 3 days your nose & chest should be clearing up nicely

I had a blocked nose plus nasal drip down the back of my throat. Went on for years because I was prescribed Otrivine. Turned out the spray was actually making things worse.

I was prescribed Beconase and it took ages to get better. I also had to avoid anything aspirin related (salicylate sensitivity) - look up the salicylate sensitive diet.

While I have post nasal drip I gargle after I brush my teeth as it keeps my throat clear.
