Hi everyone,

I have a dustmite allergy which triggers asthma. I have booked a private consultant and the treatment for it is immunotherapy which costs thousands. After doing lots of research I have found that you can buy it yourself online for hayfever, dustmites, mold etc. These are at a fraction of the price around £20 however has to be imported from America. If anyone is interested please let me know and I will give you the details. I haven't tried it yet but it looks very promising. I can't believe we don't have this readily available in the UK.

Mainly for children, but every day for 3 years!

"The first dose will be given in hospital under close supervision and you will be shown exactly how to take the treatment. After that, you can take the medicine at home, but you will need to do this regularly every day for three years."

This website says everyday, but some others I went on say every few weeks to months. Either way worth a try.

I have sever allergies that set off my asthma dust mites is one of them (one of many 👍🏽) I’m being put forward for Xolair treatment by my asthma consultant, is this something you could explore? X

If you go this website pickvitamin.com/progena-dus... you can order it to the UK. It contains dust mites D.Pteronyssinus and D.Farinea the ones that cause the allergy. You can also order other allergens on there to desensitise yourself.

I was under the impression that immunotherapy is available on the NHS (but not routinely offered)?

That's right, they keep me waiting and I got fed up. So found it myself! If you go this website pickvitamin.com/progena-dus... you can order it to the UK. It contains dust mites D.Pteronyssinus and D.Farinea the ones that cause the allergy. The staff are really helpful too by email.

That’s really interesting. Something to bear in mind if my new biological treatment doesn’t work...

Also I heard probiotics might be a worth a shot too, as allergies can sometimes start in the gut.

I was offered it on the NHS, but intravenously, so would be interested. GOOD LUCK
