Dysfunctional breathing

Currently in hospital with dysfonctunial breathing following exacerbation anyone had this and how long it takes to settle please

It's kind of an ongoing thing for many asthmatics. I guess it varies in its intensity so would be worse after an exacerbation - but how quickly it settles is a bit like how long is a piece of string.

I suffer with breathing pattern disorder which is a long term dysfunctional breathing pattern along side my asthma. Sorry to hear your stuck in hospital it can be horrible but you are in the right place. Advice for dysfunction breathing is to try and stay calm and do the breathing excersizes they teach you x

Thankyou..I've suffered with brittle asthma for a few years but this as been completely different for me ...now I've got bronchial spasms which are so painful ..hope your well and Thank you x
