My asthma got worse earlier this year all due to stress, December last year my sister whom I cared for 27 years died due to complications following a planned operation. It was a dreadful shock. I was running round arranging the funeral and my tendency agreement as it was in my sisters name. I have to register with the council, and claim that aweful universal credit. During this period my asthma took a nose dive and I had to double up on my meds, that was all on the 31st December I was rushed into hospital with serve stomach pains and a large swelling on my lower right side.

I suspected like the doctors it was another hernia and a bad one. Early hours new years day I was having surgery to fix it. 2 days in icu then back on ward. But disaster struck I had more swelling came up, my repair had failed and damaged my lower bowel and now I have a illostomy bag on forever. But god wasn't finished there my stomach can't absorb nutrition very due to the bypas was above the part where food and drink is normally absorbed. Hence I am on tpn all week but now after months in hospital, my asthma settled down now thank god.

What an awful time you have had. So sorry to hear about the loss of your sister then straight into your health issues. I wish you all the best for a more settled chapter in your life.

Big hugs for your both your physical and emotional recovery. Have you managed to make it back home yet?

Take care x

For what you have been through I think that stress is putting it mildly. I hope that you now stay well and that much better times are in store for you. Best wishes.
