After a 3 weeks of 5 day course stop restart then 5 days then stop for one and had to restart 5 days and a reducing down dose. I have been thinking that 5 days of prednsiolone is not enough for me. However its hard to tell as I think it depends of the trigger laryngitis and then a virus plus hayfever and then exposure to air conditioning which is why I took so long to recover. I had a flare up then an asthma attack, then a flare up and then an asthma attack.
Has anyone else had this problem? Or advise on how to manage it?
I booked a review with my asthma nurse this afternoon so going to pick her brains on this matter. (Fostair nexthaler 200/6 2 puffs twice a day, monkelaust, dymista and steriod nasal drops) so as you can see I am on everything!

I normally find 5 days is enough. I was really ill recently with pneumonia. When I came home, I had a reducing dose of pred. I had 40 mg for 15 days. It was then gradually reduced by 5 mg every 3 days, so I had them for just over a month. Normally I don’t have a problem when I take them, but I put on lots of weight this time with a bloated feeling. I am only just starting to lose some of the weight.
Usually this is enough for me but not this time. I saw the asthma nurse but she couldn't change the advice given. I think I going to go back and see my doctor and maybe ask to be referred to the consultant I had until March this year
