Hi everyone, the weather has been going back and forth so much lately that my body just can't seem to keep up. One of my worst symptoms with my asthma is severe upper back pain like between my shoulder blades. It's incredibly painful and I am constantly having to stop whatever I'm doing just so I can breathe through the pain for a moment. I was just wondering if anyone else could relate

Back pain
Hi littlemonster , I get the same pain right between the shoulder blades most of the time , it stops me doing most things. But I was diagnosed with Costochondritus, inflammation around the chest area over 2 years ago when I got pneumonia and had to be rushed to hospital. I also get chest pain and rib pain . But I would say the back pain is the worst. I when I take oral steroids it eases it but I am not on them constantly. But I see my specialist next week so hopefully might get something to help with the pain . Hope you can get it sorted out . X
Me too, I get back and rib pains, I don’t know what causes it but it’s just awful. The rib one is the most painful, it takes my breath away and sometimes has been so bad I’ve had to crawl, but thankfully it’s less frequent. So I can relate! I hope your asthma eases soon so that the pain gets less, or you get something sorted out anyway.
Yes. I get that. It's awful. Hope it eases soon.
