If you've been on a similar inhaler before, you'll know how to use it properly, but it occurs to me that those are symptoms of hyperventilation. With this type of inhaler, you're supposed to breathe in slowly, preferably through a spacer; that might explain the difference between your inhalations if you inhaled too quickly first time.

I use a powder inhaler, with which you have to inhale hard and fast, and I always feel dizzy for a few moments afterwards.

I've never had any side effects with Fostair. If you tell your asthma nurse about all the issues you're having, she may be able to help you work your way through them. Nurses should treat the whole person, not just one aspect.
