My lungs are on fire.

I’ve suffered asthma for 3 years now and while I’m normally pretty good at taking my steroid inhaler I do sometimes forget. But when I do take it. I always get a burning sensation in my lungs, dizziness and feeling lightheaded this stays with me until I take my blue inhaler. Even though the burning sensation goes. I’m left struggling to catch my breath for the rest of the day.

Is this juts because I don’t take my inhaler some days and others I do?

Sounds grim. You should be using a spacer if you can, but a chat with your asthma nurse or GP is best. You have to take the preventer regularly for it to work - on and off really won't help.

Sounds like this inhaler doesn’t suit you.

Which inhaler is it? Before being changed onto Fostair I had been changed onto something else that I can't remember the name of, I think I must have blocked it from my mind! It made my throat burn as if it was on fire and blistering and I couldn't stop coughing. I did give it a second chance. And a third and fourth. But after that I stopped taking it and relied entirely on the Ventolin.

Maybe someone can recommend an app if there is such a thing, that reminds you to take your inhaler. I could also use such an app to remind me to take my inhaler earlier in the evening and also to take my pills as I can never remember if I've taken them or not.

If you have a smart phone you should be able to set up recurring alarms at whatever times you want them to remind you

ive never had anything like that when taking mine (becotide and now clenil ) and I take them intermittently. sounds like it might be a bad reaction to the inhaler, it doesnt sound normal
