Sore armpits

I have had my 4th mepo injection and my pred is down to 35mg per day.I went back to my GP as my arm pits are sore - but no swelling. The right one is worse. I would have disregarded this save for the fact if I don't have a cold or flu I am on the cusp of a cold or flu. I am having blood tests in a week.

Anybody else suffer in a similar fashion?

I was mepo from July 17-Dec 17 and my consultant swore down it wasn’t why I had colds all the time or 4 chest infections in the those months but the inflammation numbers in my lungs just rose and so did my preds dose from 25-40mg which I have never got back down as well as needing injections of a long acting steroid. So in the end they stopped it after my dose in December. And I haven’t had a cold since January and only one chest infection. I didn’t have armpit pain but I did feel as though my bones ached for a few days after the injection.

It’s worth mentioning that it worked for 8/10 in the group of people having the injection under the consultant I see with little-no side effects. So I think it just hits everyone in different ways.
