You need to go to A&E if you are struggling to breathe and your inhaler isn't helping.

Hi Alex, I've seen some of your other posts. I think you are under enormous stress at present and that can affect asthma. If you feel that you can't talk to your parents about this, then why don't you call the Asthma UK helpline. The nurses are fabulous, and you can get proper advice about how to approach your GP.

If you are struggling to breath and talk in sentences, then you should call 111 or 999 and get help immediately.

I've never had a lot if faith in peak flow. If I hit 200 I'd be thrilled, my highest is 150. Everyone is different.

Low iron= low oxygen =breathlessness, have you checked your iron bloods, My husbands breathlessness was down to deficient iron blood level, not his asthma. (We did private iron blood tests.) He supplemented with iron and his 2 years of breathlessness went away overnight, despite Dr saying it couldn't have been down to his iron bloods.

Also check your vitamin D blood levels as 85% of us here in UK are either low or deficient in vitamin D3. Hubby takes a very high, but safe dose of vitamin D3 and it turned his asthma around, come winter his asthma came back so we doubled his D3 and asthma keeps away. In winter there is no sun to soak up. www, vitamindcouncil for up to date information on vitamin D and safe supplementing doses of D3 which may differ from NHS doses.

(Vitamin D known as the sunshine vitamin.)
