Still in hospital!

Day 6...Doctors just can't seem to tweek the meds which will clear the chest infection and lessen the wheezing. Still, U am being very well looked after and monitored.

It s the longest stay, I've had...not liking...missing my family.

Have you had similar prolonged visits? How did you cope?

I hope you feel better soon. Everything crossed the hospital gets your meds sorted.

Hospitals are strange places and not surprising you're missing family! Rest well if you can, and have a few things to distract you. Most wards allow you to play music or listen to the radio as long as you use headphones so that it doesn't disturb other people. A magazine which you can flick through? In my experience books are out as I can't concentrate. A photo of your family so that you know they are not so far away?

I find saying to myself "This too will pass" a good way of helping me to get through a bad patch.

Hope you soon feel better.

Thank you, so much for the tips, I have the puzzler, the music and head phones! It's the constant interruptions for bloods, pk's, nebs (which of course, is for my own good!) It is so tiresome. My biggest problem is getting blood, my veins are appalling. But these things are sent to try us and I am eternally grateful to live in s country where the staff, the facilities and the ongoing after care is second to none!

Yhnki so much for your good wishes.
