FOSTAIR

I was switched to Fostair from Qvar and Ventolin. The first dose of Fostair I developed a flashing arc in my left eye - silent migraine. My asthma is no longer controlled so following the nurse's instruction leaflet I took two puffs of Fostair, I developed a bad headache on the left side of my head which lasted all day. I cannot attend an exercise class as my asthma is not controlled. I have had asthma since I was three years old, I am now seventy five and active. I shall be asking to be put back on Qvar and Ventolin!

Side effects with Fostair have been well written about; but not sight problems:-

I cannot take Fostair as it causes stroke like symptoms. Apparently I am allergic to the ingredient Formatron which is in a lot of new inhalers. Speak to someone about this soon

How frightening. I will return to GP practice.

If flashes in the eye continue you should see your doctor.

Thank you. Will do.

Do they change us to distant as it's cheaper? I was changed from qvar and Oxus 12 and still not the best control.

Probably, although I suspect the 'asthma nurse' is employed by the drug company,
