How many hours between night and morning should I take Sirdupla Brown Inhaler?

Hi I'm new to this forum,

I'm a 26 year old male who's quite heavy set (in terms of weight) at the moment. I've not experienced asthma symptoms in years until a few days ago. I've been given both a Salamol Blue Inhaler and a Sirdupla Brown Inhaler. I've been told to take the Brown Inhaler 2 times in the morning and 2 times at night, which I've been following. I however nearly forgot to take the Brown one last night, but I woke up at 2am and took the Brown Inhaler 2 times. I'm just wondering if there is a set time between the night and the morning I can take the Brown Inhaler. Please someone advise me on this.

Thank you.

Hi SimeoBindo

Welcome to the community.

Good to hear that you are taking the right steps and getting in the habit of taking your medication. In general, our nurses advise that it's always better to take your medication than miss out, even if it throws the regular pattern out.

If you haven't already, it might be worth setting a reminder on your phone so you don't forget, keeping your preventer inhaler close to hand when you wake up or got to bed.

There's information on the Asthma UK website about diagnosis in adults that may be useful: bit.ly/2qfBfGf

Take care,

Hi.. sirdupla is the generic version of Seretide. I don't know what you have been prescribed I was getting Seretide 250mg 4 puffs a day 2 am and 2 pm.

Better consult your GP.

Take care

Hi Simeo I take ventolin and sirdulpa both 2 puffs in the morning at night and if I get a it chest or tight I double up

It should kick in as you calm yourself down and sit up rather than lay down

Hope that helps
