I was like that for ages!

Then a bright surgeon decided I needed an endoscopy, found I had Barrett's osophagus gave me esomeprazole and within 10 days all breathing problems gone!

You don't have polyps up your nose do you (I'm allowed to ask that). I had a bad and continuous flare up last year I prescribed a long extended prednisolne dose, normal doseage then one daily for two weeks.

To help, we'll need to know what was the first medication you were given and how did you have your first asthma attack, what allergies you have, and some of the things you have tried so far.

It wasn't my first asthma attack since having asthma but

Back in January I had a particularly nasty I had 2 nebulisers and had several flares at hospital got discharged later that night I had medics out again needed another nebuliser tbh this is a very long story you should check my other posts because it is very long sorry but it's just repeating myself and don't want to bore others as many have already seen my months of hell

My chest has been exactly the same! Turns out I have had a bad lung infection and I also have undiagnosed sleep apnea. Been in hdu 3 times this year alone. Ended up in hospital for 2 weeks up until friday and finally sorted out with both. Fingers crossed you get sorted soon.

Sympathies. I could have written your post as well. In my case my surgery has not been investigating but just throwing steroids at me. However, now investigations are starting.

Have been moved to Fostair last week. I think it is helping but not in my throat which is still painful and sore and constantly triggering coughing attacks.

So fed up with it all.

My mum thinks it's me being panicky cos I'm in exams ATM but I'm trying to like dry and control my breathing and drag it out just in case it is just me panicking but end up needing my inhaler my ribs and my back are getting so achy from it all and I'm on 30mg of steroids and doing the 10 puffs of ventolin every 4 hours but I end up taking it earlier cos I'm often struggling before the 4 hours is up and I'm on 2 preventer inhalers seretide and flixotide and more it's ridiculous that my asthma has been given more medication than ever before but still out of control since 1 bad asthma attack in January never been right after that
