Sometimes I do, yes - what you need to do though is think about what you really want to know. What are you not getting answers to?

If you are fighting to get meds, then mention that. My consultant always asks if the GP are co-operating & prescribing as requeted (fortunately for me, they are brilliant), but I'm guessing that suggests she knows that they don't always & might have alternative ways of organising prescriptions.

Its the stupid receptionist im goin 2days sometimes with any meds atall cos she cant b bothered or wotever sick of fighting for inhalers its awful. She pushes blame elsewhere alltime but im gonna mention this its disgusting.

I'm a little confused. Are you saying that one of the receptionists at your local practice is not passing on requests for repeat prescriptions?

Passing the book all the time blamin the docs for not signing repeats prescrips or blaming the chemists im going to. Ive even changed chemists 3 times bcos of this.

Have you ever complained about this to the practice manager? Nothing can be done about it if the manager doesn't know it's happening. Other wise I agree with Minushabens, discuss this with your consultant next time you see him.

Its the receptionist makin me ill. Stressing me out such a dizzy duck unreal. They make u ill. I will defo mention this cos its not as if they dont get enough time to process all meds etc... i even do it all myself bcos ive ad so much messin with them. They left me afew wkends without any meds then last mth left me all day without any meds incl inhalers nothin atall until 17.55 chemist shuts at 18.00 allday left me esp in this weather they cant do this surely.

My practice usually warns that it will take two days to process a repeat prescription, so I have to allow for that when I request one. There may be something similar at your practice, but they should warn you if that's the case.

i have mentioned this to the gp who also said change chemist. it isn't the chemist its the dizzy receptionist not doin her job properly fed up of being too late and even 2 days late. you cant do that to people who need meds everyday its important they take these meds.

That sounds really stressful! I sometimes get my inhalers online from here if I can't get time off work - instantecare.co.uk/clinics/... - but I've never had an issue with my doctors/chemist.
