Have been on 5mg of Enalapril for about 10 years with no real issues. End of June this year at my 6 monthly check up my Doctor decided that BP of 140 over 79 was still too high and increased my dose to 10mg per day. Since then I have had two bad attacks and am currently on Prednisolone for the second time in a month. Is this a total coincidence?

I would go back and discuss your BP was within guidelines so not sure why the increase
Interesting! I was on Ramapril ( a near relation, I assume) until my asthma severely worsened. As I was deteriorating my GP changed it to Felodipine on the grounds that possibly ramapril was causing some throat irritation that had been an issue for me. I wonder if that could be the case for you and that it has helped irritate your lungs? (My asthma worsened further and I ended up in hospital for some days with an asthma attack.)
Unfortunately the Felodipine gives me swollen ankles, so I am not a fan, and hope to go back on ramapril which did not cause that problem.
