Vitamin d and asthma

I'm researching vitamin d to see if it will help my sons CVA, I've just read it's not actually a vitamin but a steroid hormone. Bought some today from Holland & Barret going to give it a try got nothing to lose just hope it will help. 😊

There are studies that link Bit D to lung health.

I don't think the dose you buy from a health shop would be enough. The maximum safe dose is 2000iu a day for the moment although they think we could take much more than this but I wouldn't until more research has been done

I've read you need a 1000iu for every 25lbs of body weight, you can get anything from 400iu to a 1000iu of vitamin d. Worth a try nothing else is working! Waiting to see a specialist but looks like we'll be waiting for ever. Thankyou for taking the time to reply.

Haven't noticed any improvement. Maybe higher doses or liquid may be.
