Lactose in medication

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone on this site has come against this problem: is the lactose contained in asthma medication (or many medications come to that) likely to cause problems if you are lactose intolerant, and if so, does anyone know what can be done about it?

I've noticed warnings on the patient information leaflets inside medicine boxes about lactose, but as it's not a problem for me I don't know what can be done apart from asking your doctor. Sorry.

Hi Maggie I would ask Asthma uk helpline. I watch all excipients personally.

This is a problem for me. I am intolerant so can have some but if all taken with medication totally free rest of diet. Sometimes it's less in different preparation. Speak to pharmacist too
