Hi, I am going to be climbing Ben Nevis this weekend to raise funds for my daughters sit-to-stand wheelchair.. for the past few weeks I have had a really bad chest, and thought I wasn't going to be able to do it....but glad to say I am feeling much better now.. and have all my meds packed including my neb... does anyone have any advice for me.. I was walking quite well for ages, but haven't done a lot of walking the past couple of weeks.. did a walk yesterday and felt fine.. so hoping it will all go well...I'm not stupid.. so if I feel I can't do it.. I will stop.. but I'm very determined, so hopefully...

Make sure that you have a couple of good walking poles but try to get telescopic ones you can pack away, unless you can work out a means of strapping them to your back, if your arms need a rest. outdoorgearlab.com/a/11089/...

Good luck and have fun :)

Just to let you all know I kinda did it!... well I didn't quite gt to the top but I got to 3/4 of the way there...I did struggle with my asthma.. until eventually I had to say enough! and go back down....I used the oxygen I had, but it made me feel sick and dizzy...I got to where it got very misty, then was really struggling to breathe... my friends all said I didn't look good.. so decided I had to rest then try to climb back down (wish there was a lift lol).. I did my best though, so that's all anyone can do!.. I'm proud I got to where I did!
