Hi have 2 children both with chronic asthma both vist Hospital and stay at least 4 times a year would anybody no could I claim disability living allowance for them has it is having great financial strain on us any advice would be appreciated

It would be worth a shot but I've been through a very difficult experience with PIP to do with a neurological disorder. I found out that in the small print which only the officials know you have to have the condition more than 50% of the time. If you can't prove that then you are on a loser from the get go. At least they've binned the recent plans to toughen further. Hope goes well for you.

Problem is DWP does not really believe that asthma is a disability. Regardless of mild or chronic.  Asthma is a disability. In my case, I had to appeal and it took me 2 years. Apply and see what comes back from DWP
