Just a rant really!

Just need a rant really - I am currently really struggling as my asthma (allergy/hayfever triggered) has come back after stopping breastfeeding my third little monkey. I have gone from normal running around with no symptoms, minimal meds and a peak flow of 400 to spending 3 weeks with a peak flow of 240 (was 300 this morning!!) sat (or asleep) on the sofa as just wandering around sets my lungs off! i am now back on a load of meds and have only marginally improved! Called the ambulance the other day as was really struggling, i got a first responder who gave me a neb and left as they are so short staffed!

So basically at the moment i am taking seretide 250 (4times a day), montelukast, desloratidine, ventolin neb in the morning and now i have just had atrovent nebs 4 times a day added to it. I feel like a walking pharmacy right now and that basically everyone is just randomly chucking drugs at the problem (if that makes sense) I am also kinda grumpy (although i know its nothing compared to some!). GP/asthma nurse have basically said there is nowt more they can do - the gp has also decided its probably not asthma at all because I very rarely if ever wheeze - and if I do its usually near the top of my lungs. GP didnt have an answer to the if its not asthma what is it then??!! However he has at least done what no-one else would and refer me to the hospital finally (that has been a VERY long fight too)!!

like i said jsut needed to vent really - feeling a bit fed up and rubbish really!

I'm so sorry that you're having such an awful time.

I hope you start to feel better soon.
