Do you know anything about Mepolizumab trial ? Does it help breathlessness ?

How do clinical trials work - how often do you need to go to the hospital , how long for and what tests do they do each time?

You would need to find out which company is producing the drug and also which institutions are conducting the clinical trials into it. Your respiratory consultant would be able to find out and assess if your suitable for a clinical trial of it. The problem with trials is that you won't know if you are given the actual drug or a placebo and there is no way to ""fix"" it so you can get the drug.

Are you under a consultant for your asthma? Im not sure if a drug like this would help with breathlessness exactly as it would depend on how your asthma is triggered.

Update: I have just searched the internet and GSK are the manufactures of Mepolizumab but it is for severe eosinophilic asthma so there will be very specific criteria to meet in order to be suitable to receive it.

Hi,

I've got eosinophillic asthma but not sure if the breathlessness is caused by that.
