If you feel unsafe when you don't have your ventolin with you why don't you just take it along? it's not as if you need a suitcase to carry it round in and, more importantly, it could save your life!

I have two ventolin inhalers: one of them stays at home, the other one goes with me wherever I go. Likewise, when I'm away or on holiday I have two: one stays in our accommodation, the other comes with me. One other piece of advice: if you're travelling by air, make sure your asthma medication travels with you in the cabin luggage - never in the hold. That way if your hold luggage is mislaid you still have your asthma medication with you.
