Breathlessness on inhaling - cannot take deep breath

Hi,

I am under severe asthma clinic and a year ago started feeling as I cannot take deep breath - the consultant seems to think that I have asthma but its not due to that and not due to hyperventilating either - according to them they have 1 or 2 cases a year of unexplained breathlessness.

Does anybody else have it - the breathing is especially bad when walking in the windy weather but even when the weather is ok, after a year of shortness of breath ,I can only walk for 5 min or so
