Hi I now take seretide accuhaler but don't feel that it goes as far into my lungs as my previous seretide inhaler with spacer. Presume accu is for accurate so maybe this is just my imagination. Any thoughts pleae?

Hi my 8 year old daughter was put on that (seretide 250) but could not breath it in enough so I rang asthma nurse and they have changed it to a pump one just like her other one so it fits in the spacer , maybe ask to get it changed x

It's likely that it isn't. For some people - myself included - dry powder inhalers do not work as well as MDIs. You should have a chat with your prescriber (doctor or asthma nurse or allergist or whatever) and say that you prefer the MDI and they should give it to you. Similarly if the doctor or nurse specifies a certain brand or type of inhaler on the form then the pharmacist should either give that to you or, if they have none, tell you that they have none so that you can either ask for an alternative or go to a different pharmacy. In many cases you can also request a certain brand if your prescriber only puts the generic name on the form: I prefer Salamol to Ventolin for a few reasons, but my doctor only puts 'Salbutamol' on my prescriptions, so initially I had to tell the pharmacy that I would prefer the Salamol if they have it. Now they have it on their system so every time I get a refill they know what I need!

Sorry, went off on a tangent. What I mean to say is that you have every right to ask your doctor, nurse or specialist to give you the Evohaler instead of the Accuhaler. Some people just don't click with DPIs, like when my nurse prescribed me Bricanyl Turbuhaler and I didn't have enough inspiratory force to get the powder into my lungs even when I wasn't having an attack! Just give your prescriber a call or make an appointment ASAP. They should take your request seriously :)
