Growing up

I grew up to the age of thirteen years with a father who suffered endlessly with asthma attacks. I recall him always struggling to breathe and he could barely walk due to his breathlessness and lack of energy. My mother was always telling him to take a deep breath and she tried to get my father to quit smoking. However, my father was an old soldier and he served in such places as Burma, Thailand and the Middle East. Like other national servicemen, my father had to endure the cold nights on mountains and the heat of tropical summers so he could not expect to be very healthy. He died in 1957 aged just 47-years. Since that time, I have used to deep breathing method.
