Must Stay Calm

I have had Asthma for nearly 20 years now....

I dont know if its because when I was younger it wasnt explained to me properly or what but up until a few years ago my Asthma seemed to be getting worse, not better...

then i went on a First Aid Course where I learnt more about Asthma in 3 days than i did in the previous 15 years....

The most memorable Tip i got from that course when ""Panicking"" made your Asthma worse, i remember watching a video of a littel boy in hospital leant forward gasping for air asking if he was going to die? His Asthma was getting worse because he really thought he was going to die....

I was in a similar situation when i was younger where i thought i was going to die so i totally understood it...

From then on.... I made a promise to myslef... As hard as it may be when i was having an attack, to always remember, To ""TRY"" and STAY CALM.... knowing that little bit of information in the back of my head then slowing my breathing down REALLY HAS HELPED me over the last few years....

It really is Amazing what part to play in an Asthma attack your brain has to play, so if you have an attack, along with your Ventolin Inhaler, Please Remember, STAY CALM... being an Asthmatic is scary but together, We Can Live normally!
