My daughter was diagnosed last week. She is 9. She was given a blue inhaler (salbutamol) and told to go back in 4 weeks for a review. The inhaler isn't helping that much, just relieving it for short bursts and has ran out. if I take her back to the gp will they do anything for her?

If the inhaler has run out in a week you really need to take her back! They'll be able to give her a preventer at the very least to try and get on top of it. I really don't think you should wait another 3 weeks. If your daughter has used a full inhaler in such a short space of time she could be in danger of having a nasty attack.
