My inhalers aren't working

For the last 2 days I have been feeling tight chested. I have a blue and brown inhaler (sorry don't know proper names) that I take twice a day and antihistamines for rhinitis and they're not helping. I have been using baby powder on my skin I'm not sure if that's making my asthma worse? Is something wrong? Thank you. 16 years old.

Hi Sally. I'd definitely avoid the baby powder! In any case if your inhalers, specially the blue are not doing their thing, it's a good idea to see your doctor. They might increase or change your medication until you're back on track again. If you have an attack and the blue is not working, phone 999! Good luck and I hope you start feeling better soon.

I know this may sound silly but check the expiry date on your inhalers, I recently went back to the docs as my asthma had worsened and wasn't improving with my inhalers, I was embarassed when the doctor advised me that both my symbicort and blue inhlaer had exired about a year before, I had built up a collection of inhalers and was o bviously using some very old ones!
