Moderated Forum?

When i tried to post an answer in the pollens / allergens thread in 'general' i got a message saying as i'd tried to post in a moderated forum my post wouldn't be visible until a moderator had seen and approved it :-s I've never had this happen before and it didn't happen when i then posted on a different thread

Is this my computer being weird or is there some other reason for it??

Hi Jinglefairy

I've not noticed a problem, but if you email any problems you have to webeditor@asthma.org.uk they're very good.

Or have you been trying to sell us kitchens and been blocked? ;) only joking.

I hope you're well

Good evening everyone.

As lou has said above, please email webeditor@asthma.org.uk with any forum issues in the absence of a private message service Hi Jinglefairy

It does indeed seem some gremlins have got in, we will have a proper review of this but all posts are now approved and should appear, there may be some duplicates. wonder if we've got gremlins in the system ???

I've just looked back and it doesn't even say mine was removed - it's just disappeared :-s

butterfly, the main thrust of my comments was that for OTC antihistamines often the own-brand versions have exactly the same ingredients as the big brand names but at a fraction of the price

As above, this appears to be gremlins I once had a post removed but was never told a reason why, my post just read 'moderator removed' but I haven't the foggiest what I wrote nor why it needed to be removed!! If I'd breeched a term of the forum, you'd have thought it useful to be told why to avoid future problems.

Yeah this happened to me too, but on a different thread in general.

Yeah I've had this problem too but on a different thread. I think it might be to do with posting a ""quick reply"", but I'm not sure.

Mine does it also ....not sure if like it

mine did it too - but only for one message thread, and not for the others...? Im not liking the new website, it looks terrible on my iPhone, everything comes up absolutely tiny and unreadable in a little column...

strangely nursefurby mine also only did it on the one thread :-s was it the pollens / allergens one?

lou i don't *think* i've been selling kitchens LOL although i think my twitter account was hacked so you never know ....

hmmmm and now my post in that thread has disappeared :-s :-s

It definitely wasn't offensive, i didn't give medical advice (or i didn't think i did) so i have no idea where it's gone (it was there at one point!)

A thread I posted a couple of days ago disappeared too?

I started off the allergens/pollens thread , thank you for any advice/discussion you would've given if you were allowed lol, interestingly my replies have had no problem posting, I've not deleted any posts or anything!

Mine just seems to have completely disappeared too can't find any sign of it.

Same problem for me: I was trying to create a new topic from an ipod. The topic still hasn't showed up. Also nothing I can imagine would be offensive: it was just a ""I'm frustrated because my asthma is behaving badly"" post.

Also, I'm finding this small print in the reply box VERY difficult to read. I would like it very much if the website designers/administrators would (a) enlarge the default font (b) verify that the chosen font size is readable by someone in their thirties or forties. Us old 'uns are starting to get a bit far sighted and can't read such small print easily.

I used to only have problems with the dreaded ""moderated post"" message from my ipod. Now I can't even post a message from my laptop.

If moderation is going to stay, can someone please read and post the moderated posts? I just had yet another post get swallowed by the dreaded moderation needed message. it goes into noman's land and never comes back.

This used to be a problem only from my ipod. Now my laptop is also refusing to post messages.

I've just gone through the admin settings, and there is an option to have every post to a particular area of the message board require approval by a moderator before it appears on the board, but it is turned off for every area of the forum! Therefore I'm afraid I have no idea why the board has decided that some posts need approval before appearing whilst others just appear without problem. TJ has informed Webed of this, so hopefully someone will sort it out soon.

Hi everyone,

We are aware of the issue and we're looking in to it now - apologies for any inconvenience this has caused. I can assure you that this very much wasn't an intentional change or anything like that. We will hopefully have this sorted out ASAP.
