I find that especially in the winter the transition from hot to cold or vice-versa seems to have a greater impact on my breathing. The heat does help a lot, unless I then have to go outside or some in.

Same here - It's not so much how cold or how warm somewhere is, it's a sudden change in temperature that effects me. Bit a of pain when, with 2 young children, I'm always popping in and out. For example, this morning I had to take eldest to school (by car as I can't walk too far at the moment), go to the shop to get milk, come back home for 30 minutes, then take youngest daughter to playgroup, then to the doctors for another course of steroids, back home for 30 minutes, then to the post office, then to playgroup to pick daughter up and I wonder why I'm struggling LOL! Having said that a cold wind can really cause havoc (and I live in Shetland)
