Hello lil tinx,

Good to see you here and hope you are keeping well.

Flutiform is a new combination inhaler with fluticasone steriod and formoterol LABA. For more information see here flutiform.co.uk Will be interesting to see what people think of it

Jinglfairy sounds right up your street! I can't play flute so not mine haha!!

TJ I like to think I'm keeping well not sure my drs agree but can't please everyone hey ! Hope you well also . Thanks for the link interesting info ! This is my first combined inhaler so will be interesting to see how it goes tofay is day one but keen to hear people's thoughts if there is any !

Its on the cards for me to try... but having looked at the link that TJ supplied I am not sure if I will be going on it as there are a couple of drug interactions which might pose an issue for me... If I start on it I will let you know how I get on. Won't know until the beginning of December when I next see consultant.

I am just waiting for my GP to sort out my prescription for Flutiform and for the resultant questions from my local pharmacy. Once I have been on it for a couple of weeks will let you know if it has been any help.

Thanks for getting back to me Malawi ! My first one caused problems at the pharmacy it's not a regular stock item due to its nature well thats what they told me it had to be ordered especially ! I'm three and a bit weeks in and my first inhaler is in the red just under 10 puff till its destined for the bin! Collected a new one today no problems so looks like it will be easier to get hold of now they know I'll be ordering it as such!

Again thank you that would be useful and interesting. I dont think I've noises anything changing yet I was supposed to go back in three weeks (would be his week) if I remained the same but I'm giving it a few longer as I know I'm usually slow to adapt to medications. Wishing you luck with it! Hope to hear some good news :)

Take care

I have only been on it a couple of days and at the moment and so far not very impressed. I will have to wait and see what happens when it has a reasonable time to work... I don't think the slow steroid wean is helping as I am getting to the stage where my lungs are getting stroppy...

Aww fingers crossed for you I've not noticed any thing spectacular though ! I've now got to 0 on this inhaler I'll start the next on tonight but it sounds like there's still some in there when I shake it it does tell you not to use it once it gets to zero so I won't but if you get that far see what you think !

Hope you lungs aren't too stroppy not an ideal time is it ! Just wondering if you don't mind me asking which dosage your using ? X

I love the combined inhalers. Years ago, I was on the two separate inhalers and when I first got a combined one a few years ago plus the fact that it wasn't aerosol, I was in heaven.

hey Lil tix!!

did u not find with the oxis turbohlaer u was on did the same!? a pharmacist told me that many of them do even when it hits zero, and it still means it is empty of medication and that it is the granules in the bottom of the canister that help push up the drug and keep it going...or something like that anyway lol

I am taking two puffs twice a day of the flutiform 250/10mg instead of taking Seretide 250mg. I also take alvesco 160 4 puffs twice a day and spriva respimat 2 puffs daily plus a shed load of other asthma meds in other forms.

Hi Malawi

How did the flutiform go are you still using it ?

I am supposed to be seeing consultant tommorrow (may not happen because of snow) and I am going to ask to come off the flutiform because it has not helped asthma wise definately prefer being on seretide.
