I'm never quite sure if I have an infection or not, typical its now the weekend so can't make a GP appointment, will be making one for Monday if it continues (or see OOH if I need to)
Anyway symptoms:
Chesty cough producing yellow gunk (not loads of it)
Chest burns after coughing
temp up a bit to 37.7oC
Aches in back/hips
Pf 340 (normal 550 although been 450 lately)
Asthma symptoms are actually fine
Obviously not looking for a diagnosis, but I'm keen to keep an eye out for further developments. Is there anything I should be looking out for?

In my experience symptoms are:
Persistent chesty cough
Coughing up yellow or green muck (if it has flecks of blood go straight to GP/OOH)
High temp (I think it would be 38 or above to be classed as high)
General aches, maybe a headache
My advice would be to drink plenty of fluids, rest and see OOH if peak flow drops or other symptoms get worse. I hope you feel better soon.

I was wondering too. I have had a cough this weekend with yellow muck
Temp of 38.5 controled with paracetemol/ibuprofen piggyback
Sore chest like nellie on central chest and stabbing pain on left lower ribs after coughing
Headache.
My peak flows have dropped to 60%. Have doubled seretide according to my plan.
Was thinking i may have chest infection and will phone Gp in the morning.
the usual / common symptoms are those already listed - but it can vary from individual to individual. My lungs go pear shaped way before most of those symptoms show up - so I dont cough anything up, or sound rattly/loose, and my temp rarely increases. I do get night sweats though and pain when I take a deep breath in. My peak flow usually drops too.
