Lush Shops Love or Hate Them?

Seeing as Lush shops had come up on another thread... I thought I would ask if you love or hate Lush shops and the reasons why....

Personally, I have both a love and hate relationship with the shop. I love the products but unfortunately lungs hate the smell.... So basicically if they made odourless products I would be very happy :)

Well I was the one who said I hate them - it's the smell! I'm the same with most strongly scented florally/soapy kind of things (especially lavender) so any shop which broadcasts its smelly products like that is never going to be my favourite.

I used to be fairly neutral on most smells but now I'm a bit paranoid about them! Luckily I seem to be able to tolerate my own perfume when lungs aren't incredibly twitchy - I've never worn it that much but it would be a terrible thing to have Chanel perfume (present) and not be able to wear it!

I have to say in general I do like Channel perfumes... especialy Coco Madameselle.

Mmm me too. I think my friend had that one so it reminds me of special nights out at uni. Or maybe it was Chance, can't remember. I like both though.

I have Chanel No.19 which isn't very floral - maybe why I'm ok with it.

Lush shops = cross the street as the strong smell makes me catch my breath but I'm gutted as I actually love the smells coming from the shop!

I'm a channel No.5 girl myself :-)

I love the shop because the products make my OH so happy!

For me though... the strong smell and dust are too much (although much better since our store moved to Eldon square). It is also torture for me as my skin is too sensitive to use any of their lovely smelling products :( all I can use in the shower is aqueous cream!

I am sure to the people who love their products they are devine, but to me they are pure hell! I always avoid such places because of the ole wind bags, but find that Lush's products are so pungent with their perfume just walking by triggers a reaction :(

I have to hold my breath as I walk past. Just a bit allergic, I've never been able to wear any smelly stuff :(

I love them but the old lungs aren't a fan anymore :( !

Love looking in the window at the awesome shapes.

Dislike / Hate going inside due to mixture of coughing and sneezing that results!

Luckily our local store has a push door so smell is contained!

Love them but husband doesn't. Smell is too strong and he's not an asthmatic.

Mine too. Those Yankee Candles get to him too.

Loathe them....can't walk past the shops without holding my breath :(

Can't abide scents and perfumes, really triggers an asthmatic response. Still remember distant past, as a little boy in the 1950s, whenever my Mother had the tin of furniture polish out,, no sprays in those days, I would have an immediate reaction.

She use to wait until I was at school, but, even when I came home, I started to cough.

And those oil based paints, awful. Far better now with modern paints, far lower viscosity.
