Hey! I'm Olivia...I was diagnosed with asthma at 17, I'm now 24 and it's constantly blighting my life!
The steroids I was put on caused me to gain an enormous amount of weight which means I wont leave the house and the weight gain has made my asthma worse and its a horrible vicious circle and I HATE it. Asthma is cruel
I'm sorry to hear you're having such a tough time, i can assure you that you will meet lots of others on here who can understand what you are going through.
I myself have gained lots of weight over the last few months which has upset me more than anything else (which my hubby thinks is insane considering the state i've been in asthma wise recently)!
Anyway, this is a great place to meet others who are supportive, give great advise and really just 'get it' when we're struggling.
Take care and take each day as it comes, i've certainly learnt this is the key to not driving myself insane with frustration

Hi Olivia, welcome to the forums.
Hopefully you can find some strength and support on here and make some new friends in the process.
Asthma is certainly not fun but one thing about this board is that we quickly discover we are not alone and sharing problems, offering advice, ranting and generally just chatting about it all can be beneficial.
Hi Olivia
welcome to the forum's
I know exactly how you feel and you'll find being on this forum so supportive.
I am 25 and I can totally relate to not going out because of the weight gain from the steroids and the asthma, I found that going out for just a little walk makes such a difference and every so often walk a little extra.
