We're back!

Hello again!

You've no doubt noticed that the message boards are now back. There's still an issue with the private message system, so that has been disabled for the time being. Everything else is up and running, so dive in!

Hooray, I have missed the forum so much!

Hello everyone! Yay! I've missed you all. Though the timing is not great as I have another assignment due fairly soon and now I have another major distraction.

:-)

this looks more like it should, big improvement :D

Whilst I am sure many are really pleased that the forum is up and running again, have to say I hate the layout, but I expect I shall adjust to it in time

At the moment, the forum is using the software's default layout and style. When Asthma UK's new branding guidelines are announced (should be around the middle of May) then the developers will look at incorporating them into the forum to make it look much more integrated than it does at the moment.

Lovely to have forum back but struggling with the layout. Expect I'll get used to it.

Every thing has changed and the layout is either huge or tiny. Like the new website though especially how you have a section on severe asthma :D Thanks guys!

Good to see the boards up and running- a nice distraction from my revision! Thanks Asthma UK/moderators!

Just one thing... I'm not sure relaunching the boards was a great idea without the pm system running as there is no way in reaching the moderators if there are any problems. Sadly when I logged on today for the fist time since the new design there appears to be a disagreement in one of the threads and no way to draw this to the attention of the moderators!

Thank you for all the work you do tho moderators!

Don't worry - there is. Just click on the ""Report?"" link at the bottom of the post, fill in the form, and the moderating team will be alerted.

Dear Ally18.

If you are at all bothered by a disagreement happening in a thread, I'm sorry. We're none of us perfect and sometimes an action or inaction, really gets up our nose.

If we could look at past posts over the many years, we would see both minor and major differences of opinion in the threads. Sometimes forum members were left to get on with it and sometimes quite rightly, a mod stepped in to separate the protagonists.

Should you ever feel fired up enough to want to report something you feel breaks the Ts & Cs, this is of course still possible.

At the top right hand of this page, there are a series of buttons. Clicking the purple 'Contact' button brings up a page with a list on the left hand side. Feedback form is the last item.

Best wishes,

GM

Woo hoo, and I finally remembered my password that the old forum was happily remembering for me - D'oh! :D

It'll take a while to get used to this new format. I'm not sure if I like the posts in post order, even though it makes sense - I lost an hour of my life clicking on the joke thread and starting at the beginning!! :D

Is there a spellchecker on this new forum?

Delighted that the forum is back, the lay out is much better as well.

I haven't posted much recently and felt that the forum had gone ever so slightly downhill.

I felt that the old format felt stale and the quality of chat and support was not as high as it used to be.

Hopefully the new lay out will help attract new posters and also get some of the older members who don't post anymore back on board!

Good to see you back too yorkie, like you I felt rather stale and so am making a big effort to be around on the boards on the revamped site and maybe we can lure back some of our old buddies :)
