Had a complaint from Katina regarding Glynis ""pestering"" her via the PM system, even after being told that she wasn't feeling well enough to PM people.
Sound familiar?
I think I will have to don my ""Diplomacy Queen"" hat again and have another word about this. I had a ""little"" word in the email I sent to her and Chris when they were suspended for a week, basically asking her to be a bit more selective about PMing people, and I also asked her to bear in mind other people's health issues when you PMd me, Bex.
""I have unfortunately received a complaint tonight about your use of the PM system. I know you are a very friendly individual and like to chat to everyone, but please bear in mind that not everyone is the same, and will not respond well to getting lots of unsolicited messages whenever they log on. People can see this as an intrusion of their privacy. As I mentioned in my email to you before you had your week off, it is probably better NOT to send everyone who logs on a PM - it's not seen a very good ""nettiquette"", and it can annoy people. Also, as I have mentioned to you in the past, many members of the message board are extremely poorly and at times it will be the most they can do just to log on and read, they don't have the mental or physical energy to keep replying to PMs.
""Similarly, it's generally not considered good health-board nettiquette to send messages simply detailing your own health problems - especially not in an unsolicited message. In any kind of internet interaction you need to be very careful about giving away your personal contact details - real name, email address, phone number etc - as some people on the internet will not be who they say they are. Please be very careful who you give this information out to"".
This needs polishing. I am in blunt-mode tonight...

Hmm I am just ignoring her as between these 4 virtual walls I am hanging on by fingernails and just so can't cope with her at the moment otherwise I would offer to have a quiet word in her shell like. Reading your suggested comment Cath, I think that is pretty damned good. I have a feeling she has or presents as having a very low IQ (I am being serious now) but this scatter gun thing of hers is obviously a bit much and I suspect she needs to told in plain and simple terms. Lay off the PM's how many does she send out each day?
Bex
In simple terms (because the board doesn't differentiate between sent and received PMs), Glynis has PM traffic of 23.3 messages per day.
For comparison's sake, Bex averages at 1.6 per day!
At this rate, by the time Glynis has been a member here for as long as Bex has, she will have sent/received 30,966 messages!!

For comparison's sake, Cathy averages at 1.5 per day (and most of those are probably people complaining about Glynis!), and I deal with a mere 0.49 per day.

Sent Glynis a slightly polished version of the above message, with added kindness, after she sent me a nice chatty PM this afternoon. Had an understanding reply back. Then I've just had another reply saying that she knows it was Katina who complained and she didn't understand why, but she wouldn't be PMing anyone anymore and would only be using the board for ""profesional(sic)"" reasons and keeping people up to date via the forum.
*shrugs*
She. Is. Dim.
Well, don't fret, she's changed her mind already. She's going to stay on because she has lots of good friends.
Oh Cathy I thought you had her sorted and then she comes back.
In un-related news Donna everyone favourite wheezer in a mad moment made me a face book friend I am mucho enjoying her updates
She has turned PM back on as I see my fan club is active again.
