Im really glad your kids enjoyed the hols Chloe has now done 3 and loved every minute of it, she even went to bed doing her meds and pf without being reminded -long may it last!!!

KA volunteers are FAB!!!! I hope you are all having a well deserved rest!!

tbh hopalong if it wasn't for these wonderful volunteers my other 2 children 9 and 2 but especially the 9 yr old wouldn't have had the attention he so desevers being shoved in the car to rush off to hospital at all hours being picked up from school by a different person each time for when one or other are rushed in or even told to wait in the school library cos i am dealing with one or other at school/or on there way home from school

we had a great week together having a few days out eating wot he wanted u know usual things bless him and best of all he thought it was brilliant with the 2 of em away

just ashame i can't send him on something similar so he gets to do all the great things they did

big thank u volunteers again like hopalong said u are FAB for giving up your time

Hello guys, just got back ourselves (briefly - before departing for a Bank Hol trip). All of the kids this year were an absolute pleasure to have on the holiday, and everyone had a wonderful time. Looking forwards to next year already. Thanks for your messages!

A very tired CathBear and PeakSteve

Busy Busy weekend here and not been online hence the delay in posting.

Sean also had fantastic time as always, he has met up with old friends from prev years and made loads of new ones. Judging by the amount of time he spending texting they all plan on keeping in contact which is great.

So thanks for all of you for another fun packed week.

Mumof4 have you considered getting your 9yr old involved with a young carer project. Our local hospital referred my daughter a few years ago and they used to take her out for trips etc while sean was in hospital. It may help them not feel left out at times when it seems like all attention is on the ill one.

CathBear and I are properly back home now, but it has been a fantastic week.

Mumof4 - Shauna was wonderful all week - I do hope we'll see her again next year.

Julie - Sean was a comedy legend, as always - and something of a hit with the ladies too!

Hops - 'cos I don't do the littlies holiday I didn't get much contact with Chloe, but the impressions of staff members she did for the talent show on the last night were hilarious (and startlingly accurate).

Here's to next year!

Hi julie

never heard of this young carers before i shall have to see if anything like that goes on around here tyvm for the information

peak steve ty shauna enjoyed it so much both her and joe (littlies) want to come back next year so fingers crossed

Just want to say the kite Chloe made got a good airing today as we took a trip to the coast and it was extremely windy so flew well. It also managed to keep Chloe out the water which was just as well as it was rather nippy!!

we too have managed to fly joes kite a couple of times

and we as a family as usless with kites so its a miracle it ever flew lol

glad u enjoyed the coast

Glad Chloe and Joe both enjoyed themselves and the kites have lasted well.

They were a pleasure to have on the holiday - the kids that is. The kites were just there.
