My Hubby snores but not asthmatic so whats his excuse eh!! It drives me mad. I have severe-profound hearing loss in all frequencies but low pitch aahhhhhhh.I block my left ear and shove him when the snoring is too loud.My Hubby wakes himself up and shouts IM NOT BL**DY SNORING OK? IM NOT ASLEEP!Yeah whatever darling!!

Try good cough and splutter before bed clear the lungs. Try sleeping a little more proppped up in bed keep the throat clear and sleeping on a side may help. Failing that tell the old man he has snored for years and as a act of love. U never complained...... So he shouldn't either

Rattles, made me laugh, will have get him some ear plugs hahaha xxx

Snoring can be a sign of other problems, some a bit more serious.

One of them is sleep apnoea. Just mention it to your GP....... The snoring!

One old wives tale is to sew a cork in the middle of the back of your PJ top, stops you rolling on your back as lying on back can be worse for snoring.

Thanks kate will have to tell the doc I Snore, hey hes a bit of a hunk but hey needs sort me out haha x

Told the doctor about my snoring if it was linked to asthma and he laughed and said wouldnt think so,

more pred and ear tabs.

So still trying to find out ways to stop snoring.

Going give the nose strips ago, anyone tryed them ?love Glynis xxx

Hi Glynis, Hubby has tried the nose strips, they cut the volume down a bit but he still was snoring loudly, he's always been skinny but put some weight on and it's been hell.I love him chunky but cant shove him onto side like I used too.Someone suggested a throat spray. I held his nose once but nearly got a black eye!

About the tinnitus, if you get tinnitus really loudly at night, instead of getting angry with it (which makes it worse) listen to it and make up a tune with it (like a lullaby) you will eventually fall asleep. It takes about a week to work quicker. A 96 year old lady told me this (I thought she was nuts!!) I'd had tinnitus 20 years and had my 1st week of not being disturbed by it.That was 5 years ago and it never keeps me awake anymore, unlike other sounds!!!I work for a charity for deafness and teach people how to cope with hearing loss.

Kate

Rattles thankyou.

my tinitus started when got labrenthitis and vertigo and on long term meds for it,motion sickness and dizzy alot and asthma and OA.

Will try do what you say as its doing my nut in and after 6 weeks of work due to my ears am going work nest week so hope can cope and at the moment dizzy lying down and bending but walking ok now and sitting.

Any info on tinitus and helpful tips realy welcome as its realy hard at the moment and loud like alarm clocks in both ears.

Thanks again Rattles love glynis xxx

Was in Lloyds the chemist they sell a machine to stop snoring. When u snore it sends a wee shock to stop it. Allegedly it's painless can't remember the price

my other half snores horrendously at times...ive even heard him stop breathing then gasp for air so im sending him off to the docs to get checked! he's a bit overweight though and last time he went on a diet it wasnt half as bad...then he put it back on and more! bless him! as for me, i dont snore but i sometimes when half asleep i can hear myself wheezing but its the only time i ever wheeze at all. my fiance also says that i make a whilstling noise from my throat and chest... strange!

Hi Glynis, shame I know the feeling my partner tells me I am snoring also.. I think it's because my lungs get blocked at night. Sometimes It feels as though I can't breathe I wake up suddenly it's a weird feeling.. i don't know what to suggest maybe as your GP.. I do have a himalaya salt lamp in our bedroom and it's on all day and night I find this has helped with my breathing.. well worth the money.

Amazon sell them

Take care
