Poorly and fed up

Hi everyone,

I'm up for a moan again sorry, it's just you guys actually understand.

I got a cold just before Easter that gave me Sinusitis and another chest infection. Went to the doc after the holidays but my GP is on long term sick leave so I have to see whoever's available. So the doc I saw tells me that Chest Infections are usually viral and wouldn't give me antibiotics, told me to take paracetamol lol. She did say I could up my pred to 60mg and start a course of Erdosteine and continue nebs 4x daily.

So after another week of getting worse and worse I get a telephone appointment with a decent doctor who wants to admit me as I'm so breathless. I convinced him to see me first and went to the surgery. After examining me he agreed not to admit me if I promised to rest and come back if I got worse and he gave me a weeks antibiotics, hurrah.

After 3 days antibiotics I still feel really rough, am really breathless and wheezy and can't do anything. I've had to arrange childcare for the kids tomorrow because I can't manage. I know I should go back to the doctors but he will admit me and I really don't want to go in, I don't have time. I have to go and see the school about my son's asthma this week too. I'm just so fed up of the constant infections and not being able to function like a real person. I can't wait to get started on the Xolair and see if that helps.

Rant over, apologies again.
