Praise for Asthma Adviceline!!

Hello All, Just a short message to say how impressed I am with the staff and nurses at asthma uk adviceline. I had to phone an asthma nurse for the first time today, and all that I can say is that I would reccomend this brilliant service to anybody who suffers from asthma. I have never phoned an adviceline of any sort before and was a bit nervous, but the asthma nurse put me at ease and couldn`t have been more helpful or pleasant. Thank you Asthma UK!! EmmaC :)

on the whole I would agree with you, but last time I emailed them I never got a reply.

They've been a Godsend to me since my diagnosis, helped me to get the right doses of steroids andd given me valuable advice. Thanks so much and to all the people who take the time to answer queries in the discussion section as well.

Hello Everyone, I`m glad that people agree with me about the asthma uk adviceline. This afternoon I went to the doctor`s again and I felt that I could go there with the confidence and the knowledge that having spoken to an asthma nurse, I would be taken seriously. I left with a prescription for my second lot of prednisolone (which the nurse advised) and hopefully they will make me feel better. Asthma UK provides a valuable service which no asthma sufferer, old or new, should be without. EmmaC

Hi EmmaC,

I agree. Left with the diagnosis but not a lot else, I googled asthma and came upon this site. Their asthma nurses are the best. Forum members too.

Hi GrannyMo, Yes, you`re right, their asthma nurses are second to none, and I have to say that since I have joined the forums, I have found everyone to be really friendly and the atmosphere is nice and positive. EmmaC

Hi I really agree with you. When our son came to live with us when his parents were killed(we have since adopted him) he had very unstable asthma due to everything that had happened to him. My husband and I had absolutely no knowledge or experience of asthma at all. The nurses couldn't have been more kind and helpful which helped us cope with Scott's asthma
