bronchial thermoplasty
I copied this information from the internet for you.
As expected, bronchial thermoplasty is associated with quite a few side effects, especially within a day or two of the procedure. Most people experienced some form of side effects, most commonly irritation or infection of the lungs, and nearly 10% had to be hospitalized as a result of complications from the procedure. Despite this, most side effects weren’t life threatening, and most people got better within a day or two after the procedure.
This treatment has just completed a joint trial period in Europe and USA . Long term effects unknown at present tho test subjects showed improvement in asthma control and quality of life. Side effects had been respiratory complications following the proceedure and collapse in segments of the lungs. After treatment o these complications improvement of asthma still occurred.
I don't know much about it but I think Newcastle Freeman hossie has been dabbling with it.
I would be interested in hearing opinions of people who have had this treatment.
It sounds a little brutal to me.
