A while ago, I signed up to receive alerts from the Food Standards Agency (food.gov.uk). Today, I have received the following alert:

Green & Black's has recalled its own brand Organic Hot Chocolate Drink 300g, due to two reports of glass fragments found within the product.

Green & Black's has recalled the affected batch from sale. Product recall notices will appear in the national press tomorrow, Saturday 29 March 2008. These notices alert customers to the recall and advise them of what actions to take if they have purchased the product.

The product recalled is:

Green & Black’s Organic Hot Chocolate Drink 300g

Lot code L7348 (found printed on the top of the lid)

Best before: Nov 2009

No other Green & Black's products are known to be affected.

I’m seriously addicted to all G and B’s choccy products (Tried the Charbonnel… Domori, Godiva and other posh choccy but always find myself returning to G and B’s, - even though Cadbury’s now own the brand.)

I’ve been away for a while so will need to check home as well as work G and B's organic drinking chocolate. Manage to drink my way through a jar a week - mostly at work - but don’t fancy added extras!
