Just occured to me tonight how protective my dog is when either myself or my husband is ill. a couple of years ago i had swine flu and Guinness our rescue dog would not leave my side day or night only to be fed. He would go out do his business and then come back into the bedroom and lie on the floor the side of the bed where i was sleeping and he would not disturb me.
Animals really have a sense of compassion and friendship. Has anyone else experienced this about their loving canine loving friends??
