Hi am new to the site but in need of some fellow advice, I was told that i had all the symtons of swine flu on the 5th of August put on the tamiflu told to call back in 7 days done that and told to call back in 5 more. Now the symptons i had are cougth, little congestion, nausua no appitie, slight fever (not much) and general tired. The cought is now worse and my breathings not good when i tried to tell them i think its more to do with my astma they told me to take it easy and call back Monday. Am i just looking at this wrong or should i try and actually get omeone to look at me. PS my pf is top rang 325 low just under 300.

Thanks Katy

Hi Panther Sorry to hear you have had the dreaded swine flu. I would see if you can see your GP as it sounds like your asthma is playing up you might need an antibio or some pred to settle things down. Hope you feel better soon. Take care xxx

Hi Katy,

I had swine flu and was put on Tamiflu, but the Tamiflu made me feel worse, it made me sick everyday I took it.....I was told to keep my GP informed of how I was feeling because I have brittle asthma....I thought I was feeling better on Tuesday so went to see my nurse and I about passed out. She said because of my asthma and being on steroids etc it would take me a lot longer to get over it than someone who was healthier....She told me to go back home, drink plenty of fluids and rest as much as I can. Maybe get in touch with your GP, it can't harm to get advice....I still feel groggy now, tired, lack of appetite etc and its been just over a week now...

Hope you feel better soon

Hi Katy,

Couldn't pass your post without saying hello and hope you feel better soon.

I'm still a newbie when it comes to asthma. Mine is quite mild and I don't have a PF meter so can't help you there.

Some of those lovely forum members who have helped me, will no doubt come by.

Meanwhile, I'm sending you a great big virtual hug OOOOOOOOOOOO.

PS Your symptoms do sound awfully like the flu I had, way back at the start of the year.

Maybe I'd an early form of swine flu - piglet flu? :@)

Thanks guys I have been to see the doc and turns out I have a chest infection, now have pills and a brown inhaler (yummy)

Katy

Thanks for letting us know, Katy. Best wishes on a speedy recovery.
