Please could someone give me some advice in this area?
What do i need to do? Are there rules to follow? I know you can but how?
What about in a foreign EU country with nebuilser?
How do i plan a holiday around it?
Also any good insurance companies that cover asthma with nebuliser?

I always use the Post Office with a premium on top.
Make sure you are honnest and that you are well covered.
Speak to the airline - Omrons are / should be fine because they run on AA batteries.
Ryanair were OK.......... but check anyway!!
Get your protocol translated into Ukranian or at least take all the generic names of your meds in a simple list.
Im not a good person to comment about health insurance qoutes ive had have veried from 500 -1200 pounds for 2 weeks anywhere from spain to mexico ...
As im in ITU lots and lots of meds and other med conditions its a nightmare ...
Heath lambert normally give discounts for ppl who take insurance out with them who sen the advert on AUK ect !!!
a word of warning tho be very honest with them tell them everything even if u dont feel its relevant as u may end up like me be poorly abroad and be lumberd with a huge bill...they wanted to charge me 380 quid for an xray jeese thankgod for the NHS ah !!!!
Nebulisers on flight s are allowed mine was a omron light no one could tell but they still need to know and to be honest i had one just before boarded and one as soon as landed and dint need one inbetween i had in flight o2 which helped more ..but u pay for this and u need a GP letter but if your wheezy O2 isnt normally that great its a neb u need ..fingers croseed u wont need one...I suggest u take inhaler with spacer and take 10 puffs of that through that if wheezy its supposed to be the equivelant to a neb ....
Anyone feel free to correct me if its not 10 its a long time since ive done that and to be honest never worked for me lol

hiya, cant comment on the insurance because my mum sorts all that out and my asthma isnt covered but just thought id pop by and say that ive never had a problem taking nebs onboard.
Have flown with several airlines over the last few years and not one have been difficult. We always phone up the airline a few weeks before (im not sure why but they need to know) and then tell the security people that theres a nebuliser in my handluggage when it gets scanned.
Ive taken my freeway elite and my baby omron & all have been fine 
ps-hoping ive not cursed this now as im flying in 2 weeks to turkey!
just to let you know, if you tell the airline that you have meds and neb u can often get extra luggage allowence free of charge.
When i went to lanzarote my mum got me an extra 5kgs on harnd luggage and baggage due to meds and havong to carry neb onborard, even though meds dont weigh 5 kg its worth the extra even if u just fil it with clothes!!
As a general rule I prefer flying with a plane

I've just come back from Spain and had no problem carrying neb (omron). I've never called the airline and have travelled alot, I've used the neb during lots of flights and have never had a problem. I do tell security theres a neb in the hand luggage but they never seem bothered, theyve never looked at it.
As for insurance no one would insure me, Post office would but wanted me to pay £3500 for a week in Spain a couple of years ago....I declined
I've always been through Freedom, they are fab and have always insured me, once I came off the vent one day and flew the following day and they were ok with that. My recent Spain trip cost £130 for the week, which is really cheap. Lots of companies will offer insurance without covering the asthma but it's a bit too risky to do that, I think if your asthma is bad enough to need nebs then you need insurance to cover you whilst away..

i fly with nebs a lot - no probs. I generally tell security - sometimes they don't do anything othertimes they shout out ""nebuliser coming through"" to the person looking at the scan - can be q embarrassing! Carry big blue generator and micr air in same bag normally - additional to handluggage so also put all meds in there too!
I have a letter from my GP saying I need a neb for asthma management, and also carry my repeat script in case they query the nebules but never normally need to show them, think it depends if you get someone thats never seen one before.
Used neb on plane no probs - omron micro air, 1st time I asked teh air hostess if it was ok as it was just before we started taxiing, but since then not bothered as they never seem to have a problem with it - or even ask what I'm doing - so I'm guessing they know what it is and don't hink I'm smoking someting illicit!
