refferal to chest specalist

my asthma is quite bad at the moment with trouble breathing, chest pain and phglem in chest and throat, my meds are giving no relief or not enough for me to notice. i am seeing my asthma nurse on tuesday, quite nervous as this is the first time i am meeting her, i am hoping she can add some meds to help and was going to asked to get referred to a specalist but feel worried and embrassed in asking, but i will think it could help, as my asthma was not as bad with my last asthma nurse but she said i should have chest physio.

what do you think, what should i do?
