Shaking when having an attack

Whenever I have an asthma attack I always start shaking -- hands, legs and then my teeth start chattering which isnt very pleasent, its before I take my inhalor so it cant be that, my inhalor does make it worse though, does anyone else get this? is there any way to prevent this?

I dont know if you have noticed this but my mam always says i look like i got the DTS but its not all the time it can be if im having an attack or not could it be our meds? Its so anoying lol when i say shake you look like your having a seizure its sooo anoying x

It could be the lack of oxygen getting to everywhere as you are starting an attack and it would get worse before getting better when you have had your inhaler. You don't say which one it is, it may be that you would be better with a different on or a different type ie accuhaler or turbohaler rather than puffer type. Your dr should be able to help with this.

What ideas do we have to control or relax the shaking i wake up with it and maybe its lack of oxygen for me. These attacks seem to have frightened me lately. Need a whiskey. It seems hard to get a balance . Stress i think does my heads in.
