My daughter does. Hers is 'aspiration pneumonia' and is caused by repeatedly aspirating food into her lungs. Have you had any tests to look into why you keep getting it?

Hiya my 4yr old daughter also suffers from recurrent pneumonia. She gets really poorly really quickly and requires i.v antibiotics to clear it up. She has been tested for lots of things including cystic fibrosis but nothing has come up as a reason for it. Hope you find out what causes yours.

I have that problem. I am 23 now and I have battled against it more times than I care to count. I have found that saline nebs and singing sometimes helps to bring up gunk, but it can work as a double edged sword because singing can really set my asthma off and I found out the hard way that Rockband, although it is highly enjoyable, it isn't asthma friendly.

Thanks to everyone that has answered.

1_winged_angel- Thanks for the advice! xxxx

Paramaribo- I sympathize because thats exactly what I go through I also have been tested for cystic fibrosis and lots of other things, nothing seems to come up. I hope your daughter finds the cause of hers too. xxxx

Emily35- What tests did your daughter have to find out she has Aspiration Pneumonia as I'm going to great ormand street hospital soon and would like to have this test done. Thank you so much for this information. xxxx
